Lovely antique metis (or linen and cotton blend) French sheet with the monogram M R. I bought it from France over 10 years ago. It has been stored in an armoire. It is unbleached but will Iighten with years of washing. I do not believe it has ever been washed. I do not see any stains. It has a center seam since the hand operated old looms would not allow larger sheets. Center seams faded away after the 1920’s, so this sheet is from either the late 1800’s up to that time period. It ...measures 184 CM wide by 272 CM. It weighs 2 KG. There may be slight dust stains from storage that will wash out. It is from the Rougnat, Limousin region of France.
