Offered here without reserve from a Southern California collection is a rather large American Tramp Art table box, late 19th century. A carved pine case, upholstered in red velvet with metal mounts and carved accents and decoration to 5 sides of the lockbox.
height 10in; width 15in; depth 11in
Overall good antique "as-found" condition, typical age appropriate wear and small losses throughout, no major damages. Most of the red velvet has deteriorated away and just left with ...its backing red/brown backing material. The lock appears to be period and original, no key unfortunately. My only real apology is for the lacking metal mount to the front's right side. The back left foot is somewhat loose.
