Vintage Art Deco Mid Century Abstract Cubist Bronze Duck Giraffe Sculpture

This is an intriguing vintage abstract, cubist, bronze duck head and giraffe body sculpture.
It has what I would call both an Art Deco and Mid Century Modern look about it.
I would estimate it dates circa 1930s or 1940s.
The entire statue measures 17 1/2 inches tall (44.4 cm). The base measures 8 1/2 inches wide x 2 7/8 inches deep (21.6 cm x 7.3 cm).
I must say I’ve never seen anything quite like this. Personally I just think it has an incredible look about it.
It ha...s one piece of damage. There is a hairline crack on the front leg. This must be some type of stress related issue, as it is very sturdy and not going anywhere. The rest of the piece has age related tarnishing/patina.
