GM G.M. COACH PASSENGER BUS VINTAGE TIN BATTERY OPERATED YONEZAWA JAPAN WORKS! This is a vintage tin litho battery operated G.M. Coach bus toy. It measures approx. 16" long. It shows some general wear from age and play with some scattered surface scratches/wear, some scattered spots of paint wear and some mild spots or areas or oxidation. I have shown photos of the toy from every side, so you can judge the condition for yourself. The toy displays very well with nice graphics. The... side is marked "G.M. Coach" and it was made in Japan by Yonezawa. One tin hub cap is missing, but the other three are still present. When operated the front door would open and a tin woman would move in to place to greet you as the passengers inside the bus change position. The front plastic windshield is present and intact and the rear windshield is also intact. When tested the toy did run, but I don't think it is fully operational. The lights came on and the motor runs. The bus moves around on the floor and bobs back and forth with a bump and go type action, but it always stays almost in one place and doesn't actually drive in a straight line anywhere. I think the wheel assembly on the bottom is only spinning in one direction and never changes course. When you push the button on the roof the bus stops and the front door opens revealing the woman...and this function still works well. Not perfect, but still a pretty nice example.
