This listing is for a vintage Conn alto saxophone neck. It is a microtuner neck, from a 1920's era New Wonder alto. I'm not sure whether it is from a series 1 or 2 though. It is in overall very good condition. The only real issue is that the octave key is not moving freely because the screw is rusted. ...The screw will probably need to be replaced, and in order to remove it one of the posts might need to be unsoldered and slid off the end of the screw. This is a pretty simple job though. Other than that, there is just one minor ping (see pic #3) with a little surrounding plating wear. It has not suffered from any pull down. The microtuner is turning freely, although it could certainly use a cleaning and oiling. Both ends are perfectly round. The tenon end is 24.65mm (31/32nds of an inch) in diameter. Please be advised that, as with any replacement neck, this may require 'fitting' to your instrument for a proper air tight seal. The silver plating looks to be almost fully intact, albeit tarnished. If you have a vintage Conn New Wonder alto with a missing or damaged neck, this could be just the ticket for you!
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
Thanks again for looking!
