A splendid military souvenir plate. Features a white background with the King's Coat of Arms in the centre and a Gordon Highlander in regalia on the left and a Royal Dublin Fusiliers in regalia on the right. This plate is reticulated and has gold accents on the scallops. The edges are beaded. This plate measures 8 3/4" in diameter. &nbs...p;
The Gordon Highlanders were a Scottish Infantry Regiment of the British Army first formed in July of 1881, and saw action in both World War I and II. The Royal Dublin Fusiliers were an Irish infantry Regiment of the British Army also created in 1881. They saw action in the Boer War and World War I before being disbanded in 1922.
This lovely plate will make a splendid addition to any Military memorabilia collection.
