You're looking at an ANTIQUE 1890's GERMAN BIEDERMEIER BOULLE MINIATURE DOLL HOUSE SEWING TABLE HINGED LID. The table is in pre-owned condition and it shows signs of wear as scratches, stains, some discoloration areas, light dust and is missing the stretcher between the bottom of the legs. The lid and mirror feel loose. The mirror has been re-glued in place and it shows some glue remains all around its rim area; the mirror shows some stains, scratches and loss of reflec...ting areas. The wood shows some discoloration areas, see pictures 1 & 3. The lid feels loose, is getting detached. Its legs feel loose and they have been re-glued in place. At its upper lid area it has a silver printed image of a castle or a great house with gilt stenciled areas to emulate the inlay designs of the French furniture Boulle designer. At all of its wood sides areas except at its back, it has gilt stenciled areas to emulate the inlay designs of the French furniture Boulle designer. Its interior retains its original fittings and at its center it has a red velvet pin cushion, that can be detached, and it has the red ribbon handle loose. It has no accessories. Great as a restore project. It measures 3" (7.5 cm) tall approx. x 3 1/4" (8.2 cm) long approx. x 2 3/4" (7 cm) approx. at its lid area. I found it at an estate sale.
