This is a nice copy of Harper's Weekly October 11, 1862. Condition is good-see photos. Illustrations include Battle of Antietam, Picket Firing Across the Potomac, Rebels Fleeing Louisville, various war scenes and cartoons. The Centerfold is The Battle of Antietam by Waud. This is a particularly powerful illustration. Harper's Weekly was primarily a northern newspaper, heavily illustrated and reporting on both the political issues of the time as well as having ad...vertising, household hints and fashions. It contained articles, cartoons and social commentary. Size is 11" X 16". There are more illustrations than shown here. Please see photos for print details. Please feel free to ask questions. If you need quicker delivery on larger packages, their rates increase dramatically. If you prefer to pay Priority Mail, we will be glad to accommodate you and include insurance on glassware over $50.00 at no charge to you.
