Scarce 1934 Primus No 1051 Double Mantle Petrol Lantern, Complete, Seals.

This item is a nice old Primus No 1051 double mantle petrol or gasoline lantern with the date code Y16, made 1934. The brass was polished when it came to me, unsure if it was originally brass or nickel. The steel frame had surface rust so I cleaned it and painted with heatproof black paint, original chocolate brown hood has rust chips as shown, no holes. This looks very similar to the old petrol Coleman lanterns, a Coleman R55 will easily replace the generator if needed. Has a pre-heat...er torch, a very complicated designed lantern, only one of these I have ever seen. The inside of the frame is marked - petrol, naptha, benzine, benzoline'. One very tiny pencil point dent near the tap. It is a big lantern, the original glass is 135mm wide, marked Scott & Co Primus, lamp stands 350mm high. Will be specially packed for protection during post.
