You are bidding on an Antique Brass Signal/Salute Cannon that appears to be very rare. I cannot find one like it anywhere, with the closest being listed in an Antique store in the UK. The cannon in that one isn't as ornate as this one, but the carriages are very similar - it's listed as late 19th Century - but I don't think this one is that old. I don't know if it's a working cannon or just a display piece. 
The piece is in excellent condition with the normal pitting and patina... consistent with it's estimated age. There are several marking on the piece: a crest if some sort that looks like head or skull wearing a crown? - see PICs, and the letters M H cast on the underside. 
The carriage has 24 - an arrow pointing up - PR cast on the side.
This piece is quite heavy for its size, and weighs @ 10 pounds with the carriage. Good Luck!
