A rare and stunning c1900s Oil Lamp. Unusual for its well detailed cast iron base featuring a mischievous devils head motif. The mid blue glass font has a gently quilted pattern and is a strong mid cornflour blue. I note a couple of trapped pot stones within the glass walls of the font. These are in manufacture- not damage.The lamps burner is detached at the collar to the glass font, just needs re-adhering. This burner which is the correct fit and original to the font, is marked APPLE...TON BRISBANEThe lamp is in great overall condition, the burner needs reattaching at the collar, being the only actual wear, this will cover the chipped upper rim of the font.No chimney included.
