Blue And White Platter Approx 17”. By 14” By 2 3/4” Very Old. . Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. There are no markings on the platter. It appears to be soft paste and the design applied by transfer. Floral border with a river fishing scene depicts two small skif boats with men standing to paddle and tie off. A bridge is placed horizontally with a house with peaked roof. Smoke comes out of the chimney. The hillside beyond has five livestock grazing and a church with steeple in a w...ooded hillside. A village or estate property is represented at the upper left. The men in small boats are attired alternately in white full sleeved shirts and vests or dark blue jackets. All men are wearing thick round hats. This scene looks. British or continental. Or possibly designed in Asia to appeal to western taste. The soft paste body of the platter allows for an almost tea stained appearance small shallow chips are noted on close inspection on the bottom.
