Up for sale is this Beautiful Antique Victorian Mirror with a carved wooden gold gilt frame and cast brass or Brass plated cast iron handle. The mirror including handle is 17 3/4" tall The mirror itself is 8"tall x6"wide.The back of the mirror depicts a a gorgeous scene of a woman dressed in Victorian Garb. The mirror has some spotting and loss of silvering in spots due to age. The gold gilt on the frame has worn lightly in spots and there are some light spots of discoloration. From my... research these mirrors were crafted in Europe, but also in France and Germany. There are a couple marks/stamps on the Brass under the frame, but I could not make them out. This is a lovely piece & in overall very good condition for its age. Handle is slightly loose, but could be tightened. The mirror itself could easily be traded out for a new one.
