This lovely cabinet sized French doll is marked on the back of her head: 71 UNIS FRANCE 149, 301, 2. Sometimes she's called Bleuette's big sister. She was made in France by the Jumeau company (ca. 1930's). She has her original working blue glass sleep eyes but her head is stuffed with tissue paper so she doesn't sleep for now. She has multi-stroke eyebrows, painted and real lashes and an open mouth with four teeth. She has a professional repa...ir on her right forehead that doesn't show, her head is strong and in very good condition. Her styrofoam pate is lightly attached and her replaced wig is simply pinned in place. This doll is on her original straight wrist jointed wood and composition body. I think it's mostly in its original paint but there looks to have been some repaint. Her clothing has been replaced. She wears an old (ca. 1960's), but not antique, aqua party dress with lots of lace. The dress fits her perfectly and accents this dolls beauty. She displays very well.
