Thanks for visiting us at THE CHARMED COTTAGE! Here is a 1922 Roman Catholic prayer book ~ AVE MARIA: A Manual of Catholic Devotions. By Rev. A. Zurbonsen, Pastor of St. Mary's Church in Quincy, Illinois. Illustrated. The Table of Contents is shown in the photos above. Parts of the prayer book are in Latin, including Vespers for Sundays, and the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
This is a small pocket size hard cover ...prayer book with soft black leather cover. Gold IHS design on front cover, and gold lettering on the spine. The pages are edged in gold as well. This was found with its original cardboard protective sleeve. 3" x 4 1/2". 448 pages, plus an additional 191 pages of Epistles and Gospels; total 639 pages.
Published 1922 by Trant's Catholic Book Store; Rochester, NY. Made in Czechoslovakia.
This is in very good condition; the binding is very tight, all pages are intact, and there is no writing in this prayer book. The gold page edging is in very nice shape as well. Some wear to the protective sleeve.
