Original Description:
Really nice Tower & Lyon Chaplin's Patent transitional plane. Less common than the metal versions. Made in NY. Unusual frog and blade adjustment. The adjuster is a lever attached to a worm gear which moves the blade up and down. The lever cap has little "arms " that hug the blade and the frog and tightens up with a screw at the top. All the wood is in good solid shape. It's been cleaned and sharpened. Original blade. About the size of a stanley 26.
