Vintage Pair Wayang Golek Original Stick Puppets
Wayang Golek is an Indonesian puppet which has elaborate costumes and headdress as well as providing expressive faces. There are three-dimensional wooden rod puppets operated from below with a wooden rod (from bottom to the top of head) and sticks that connect to the hands.
Carved, and beautifully painted and clad in gold and brown gowns embellished with black and gold accents.
They are 23" long.
I got them fr...om a man and I had to laugh at the method he devised to display them. They have an eye hook with a BREAD TIE thru it......all I can say is.......it works.
