One of the cleanest examples left of the original Boss CE-2 effects pedal!
I purchased this new in 1981 in Boulder, Colorado to use with my amplified acoustic instruments.Over the next year I purchased a few more pedals and then placed them all in a Boss BCB-6 case, where they have remained until this day. ( which is why I didn't keep the original boxes for each pedal ).
I am retiring soon and downsizing, selling a lot of items that I have been storing for many years.
This Bos...s CE-2 was only gigged a few times and used mostly in a smoke-free home for practice and jams with friends. And stored and sealed up in the PCB-6 pedal board case for 25 years!

The Serial Number 067500 equates to it being built in May 1981.The photo of the chip, MN3007, was only used in the first versions of the CE-2. (late 70s to very early 80s)The longer "dash" in the printing of the "CE-2" on the pedal is also indicative of an early model.And finally, the Black Label on the bottom as being an early 'Made in Japan" model.
I just took the photos right before listing and checked it out by making sure it powers up through the pedal board with the PCM-5 power supply ( selling separately ), as well as with a 9V battery.The pots are clean and smooth, no scratchiness, and the effects work as they should.
