Original Description:
This is an elegant and classic vintage c. 1930s JB Hirsch Company spelter lamp, featuring the "Librarian" mold of an older, studious man sitting reading amongst his books. The design features angular, stepped details and evokes the popular bookends that this company is also known for. The figure and the scene surrounding him are a gold gilt, and the head of the figure is made of a cream celluloid. The spelter base is a glossy black finish.This lamp is in excellent vintage condition wit...h age-appropriate wear, namely scuffing and wear to the finish consistent with age. The lamp has functional wiring.It measures 6 1/2 inches tall (just the base) and 11 1/2 inches tall without the bulb. The base is 4 inches wide and 3 inches deep.MK
