Vintage 1926 Dunhill's "SHELL " estate sandblast tobacco pipe. Selling as found , has metal , (I believe silver) repair collar around top of bowl, I assume to stop a crack in bowl., does appear there may be a crack from top view, no evidence of any crack below the collar. Nomenclature on pipe is: 137/7 DUNHILL'S "SHELL" MADE IN ENGLAND PAT.1130806/15 & 1341418/20 with a small 6 suffix. From what I could research , those were US patent numbers used from 1925-1934 &...amp; the 6 would date the pipe from 1926. Stem has Dunhill dot, do not know if it is original or not. Not sure how to value this pipe with it's condition issue, so selling at auction.
