Offered here without reserve from a Southern California collection is a small 1/2-gallon glazed stoneware milk crock, late 19th century, probably of Pennsylvania origin. Of low cylindrical form with a 3/4" rim and small applied lug handles to either side with hand brushed cobalt blue decoration. The interior having an Albany slip glaze.height 4 7/8n; diameter of top 8 5/8in; diameter of base 8 1/4inIn overall excellent honest condition...typical wear associated with age and use, s...mall hairline measuring approximately 1.5" at rim, some roughness to the foot.
