A VINTAGE FOURNISSEUR, PARIS, MOUTARDE De MAILLE, TIN GLAZED JAR or POT from the 1870s that has been found buried in a domestic rubbish tip a few months ago. Note the buff coloured earthenware clay showing on the base edge underneath. The pot which is very heavy at 430g measures just over 13cm high and is in GOOD CONDITION being clean with full gloss sheen the glaze surface, there are no cracks or hairlines but there are age related and usage marking and a... flake or loss of glaze on the lip edge and also on the base edge. I am quite happy to combine purchases for buyers to help save money on postage and shipping costs.
