Vintage Mexican tree of life candleholder From Izucar Signed Jorge, mC. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Gorgeous traditional hand made and painted earthenware 'Tree of Life' candleholder depicting flowers, birds and flowers Virgin of Guadalupe - from Izucar, Mexico. A stunning folk art piece. Artisans in Izucar first crafted these ceramics as votive offerings for the church. Hand-made and painted Tree of Life candelabras depicting the Garden of Eden were originally ...used to burn candles and incense in church ceremonies. Today the vivid trees adorned with fruits, foliage and figures are available in a variety of designs as well as a wide range of other popular designs such as the Day of the Dead, Virgin of Guadalupe and Nativity imagery.
