Lovely vintage wall crucifix. The cross is hard wood with an attractive celluloid inlay that looks like mother-of-pearl. The corpus and titulus are spelter with a gold finish.
Crucifix is 15 inches tall, not counting ring on the top for hanging. The crossbar is 7 1/2 inches wide. It's about 1 1/2 inches deep at Christ's knees.
There are two small smudges of gold paint on the celluloid, one over the right hand and another around the titulus. ... They are not too visible from a distance due to the pearlized finish. The corpus shows no wear. This crucifix hung for a long time in someone's bedroom so it is in excellent condition, but a little dusty in some corners.
