We offer 30 day FREE returns on most of our items.Description: Winner will receive the cut Flint Glass decanter shown in photos.This rare taper-shape, Georgian/ American Federal period decanter is expertly cut in all-over sharp diamond pattern. The cutting is choice, very nicely done. All cuttings are also well polished. The glass metal is excellent, nearly colorless or colorless (we detect m...aybe a very light gray cast). The glass is very bright and clear without any cloudiness. The pontil is star-cut and the flat base bottom is polished. The neck is panel cut (some collectors say “slice cut”) with vertical columns of notches. The lip is facet cut. The glass glows bright lime green under our black light (like so much american glass does). No stopper.Size: 9.5” tall x 4-1/8” diameter base Capacity: ~2 pint (32 fl.oz) Weight: 1 lbs 4 ozCondition Report: Used. Very good condition for its age and is free of chips and cracks. The faceted lip is slightly misshapen indicating possible small repair (very small). The glass is very bright, clean, and clear without any cloudiness. Amazingly for the age and type of cutting, we find minimal (if any whatsoever) damages to the cut diamond pattern. The foot bottom has light shelf wear scuffs. Overall this is a very nice piece of old glass.As always due to age may have slight imperfections such as minor scuffs, scratches, trim wear, and/or slight manufacturing detects.
