This lamp appears to have originally been a a mid to late 1800's oil lamp that was electrified in the 20th c. and features rich cobalt blue body with hand-painted reserves of roses and wild flowers framed by elaborate rococo raised gilding in genuine gold (NO transfer). Measuring 23" tall overall, it is 13 1/8" to he top of the bronze goat heads mounts; 11 1/2" to the top of the porcelain and 6" across the top of the urn; 5 1/2" square at the base. ALL of the mounts are of ...finely cast bronze or brass alloy with a VERY old coat of grungy gold paint. The porcelain is unmarked and of the highest quality and without damage or undue wear. The wiring and socket need to be replaced.
