Now here is one rare axe! 35 3/8 inches long, with a 10 inch wide double bit jersey phantom bevel head + those awesome spring loaded splitters! The spring loaded splitters move freely, not stuck at all. The head still has some of the original green paint on it. The top of the head/top of handle end are in excellent shape. There are no marks on the metal or wood from someone hitting the head on from the top. Original handle is in great clean conditio...n. No missing chunks or gouges on handle wood, still has much of the clear on it. The head is a bit loose, but I did Not try to tighten it back or smack it at all. If you are loooking for something a little rare, a little weird, and very cool, than this is for you. I call it Franken-Axe. There is no brand mark anywhere. The head has some rust and crust as you can see. I resisted the urge to hit it with some steel wool. The blade edges are nice and straight, no missing gouges or abuse marks. They should sharpen up nicely. Please be sure to see all photos, and please be sure to ask any questions before bidding. As is used vintage axe. It has some marks and signs of age and use. Nothing major at all. Try to find info on this axe online, I was not very successful, it must be somewhat of a rarity. Bid on this beast now, who knows when another like this will be listed.
