This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England in the mid 19th century. It has painted numbers on each piece but no maker’s mark. The saucer is 5 ¼ inches in diameter and the cup is 2 ¾ inches high. It is decorated with bands of embossed gilding with blue medallions.There are bands of tiny enameled roses in the borders. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. CONDITION: A thin ring of gilding inside the rim of the cup is worn an...d there is a dark spot in the glaze.
