This antique Japanese silk chartreuse colorful floral embroidered belted kimono robe dates from the 1920s. It is made of a bright yellow green Midori chartreuse color silk fabric, with colorful ombre silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidered peony flowers and a butterfly on the... back. This magnificent Midori Japanese kimono robe has an open front, a matching embroidered fabric belted tie sash with fringe trim ends for closure, full kimono sleeves and is fully lined in a matching green silk fabric inside with rolled padded bottom hem. The kimono measures 55 inches long, with 24 inch long kimono sleeves, a 50 inch chest, 50 inch waist, 50 inch hips, 50 inches wide across from sleeve to sleeve and the sash belt is 77 inches long, 8 inches wide. It is in good as-is condition, has not been cleaned, with some faint water spot stains on the back, a few small stains on the sleeves, bottom side skirt, pink stains along one shoulder and some loose stitching on the sleeve seam. This is truly a wonderful piece of Japanese Japonism wearable art!
