This Is a Superb Vintage Japanese Damascene "Carpenters" Pencil Holder In The Egyptian Revival Style By Fuji Damascene Co (Fuji Yoshitoyo) & Dates From c 1930.It Is a Pencil Holder For a Carpenters (flat pencil) Style Pencil & Would Have Been Worn From a Chatelaine. It Is Made By The Fuji Damascene Co (Mount Fuji mark on edge) Created By Fuji Yoshitoyo For His Export Ware To The West. He Is Renowned For His Inlaid Damascene Work Of Which This Example Is In The Egyptian Revival Style, ...Which Was Popular In Art Deco Period.It Is In Good Used Condition With Wear Commensurate With Its Age, With a Small Indentation To One Side....See Photographs.It Measures Approx. 80mm (3 1/8") By 12mm (1/2") & Weighs Approx. 10.11 Grams (0.356 ozs). It Is Made By The Fuji Damascene Co (Mount Fuji mark on edge) Created By Fuji Yoshitoyo For His Export Ware To The West. He Is Renowned For His Inlaid Damascene Work Of Which This Example Is In The Egyptian Revival Style, Which Was Popular In Art Deco Period.
