The Wonders - That Thing You Do!/All My Only Dreams! RARE RARE RARE Original Movie Prop 45 and Sleeve As Shown In The 1996 Film. This is NOT the much more common Promo 45 given away at premiere showings of the film. This is a guaranteed authentic movie prop from the actual film. How can you tell? Four ways. 1) The 45 label has the B-Side track listed as "All My Only Dreams!" as seen in the film. All released versions of the "That Thing You Do!" single do not feature that song title. On...ly the ones seen in the film do. 2) The label design is entirely different than the released Promo and the commercial version. The only singles that have this design are seen in the film. 3) The back of the picture sleeve is completely different on this one as compared to the Promo 45. Only the sleeves seen in the film list the B-side song as "All My Only Dreams" and match this design. 4) This movie prop version of the single does not contain the music by the Wonders. It is a mock-up for film use only with music by 80's punk band Government Issue (EP M7EP 154). The only known copies from the film have this unrelated music on them. This copy is in great condition and came from the archive of a late film industry veteran who worked on the film. The 45 itself is Near Mint. The Labels more importantly are also Near Mint. The Sleeve is VG++ with just a small amount of denting/creasing and slight fading at the edge. The sleeve is a one piece paper image that was folded to give the effect of an actual 60's picture sleeve. The labels on the 45 are glossy and look beautiful. How many of these exist?
