Brand: Porto Rico Pale Dry Co. | Color: Clear |
The Porto Rico Dry Ale Co. was based in Philadelphia, PA and produced product from 1933-1970.
This 10 ounce bottle has a vintage style to it and is thick and heavy. It has the pre-1950 design to it (they changed to a "Hey Chico, Give me a Porto Rico" design around 1950-51).
Front neck has the "Porto Rico" logo in white with green backing and a white border. Barrel is pai...nted with Porto Rico Beverages "First for Thirst". Green color is nice, but the white shows some staining. There is a floral design around the border which is faded or possibly bled into the white causing the stain. Not sure what color it was originally. Some light paint loss in some areas. Very bottom of label says "Reg. U.S. Pat. Off."
Back has the same white/green/white neck logo painted on. Barrell back in white script reads "A Drink that Satisfies" in script and then in type face it reads "Made under state inspection in our modern plant contains Sugar, Citric Acid, Cabonated Water, Certified Color. Bottled By Porto Rico Pale Dry Co. Philadelphia, PA. Contents 10 Fluid Ozs. Reg. U.S. Pat. Off."
Bottom of bottle has mold and patent markings of a "G" in a square at one edge and then "1745-7" at the other.
Bottle is free from any chips, cracks, breaks or physical flaws of note! Again, see pics for color/paint issues.
