Vintage Antique Corona S3 Typewriter(Identical to Ernest Hemingway’s) Manufactured by the Corona Typewriter Company of Groton, New York. The reverse shows patents starting 1913 to July 10, 1917. The carriage can be moved back and forth, the bell rings, but when you press the keys, some stick and the carriage does not move on its own. There is ribbon on the reels. Compact, measuring 6” tall, 11” wide and 10�...�� deep. Hemingway received a Corona Model #3 portable typewriter for his 22nd birthday. He used it in Europe during the early years, posting news stories, writing poems and short stories, and crafting at least two novels on it, including "The Sun Also Rises" .
