Original Description:
For sale here is an older, vintage, heavy, clear, embossed, wide-mouth, pint size, fruit, mason, or canning jar from Baltimore, Maryland. The jar is embossed THRIFT / BUCK GLASS CO. / BALTIMORE, MD. on the front. Also embossed LICENSED BY P. F. P. CO. / PAT’D / OCT. 7, 1913 / BALTO, MD. on the base. This stands for Pure Food Packaging Company. Likely dates to the 1920s. I believe it had some sort of wax seal closure. Unusual shape looks like an oyster jar. The jar is about 6 inches t...all and the opening at the top is about 3 inches in diameter. There is a ding on the heel as shown. Does not distract. Also an open bubble inside in the base and some scuffs & scratches. Displays well. Harder one to find. Please review photos before bidding/purchasing.
