This is a wonderful and undamaged 14 pc Navajo Folk Art Nativity set made from clay. These figures are called "Mud Toys" and Elsie Benally was the originator of Navajo Mud Toys. She was mentioned many times in the Rosenak book on Navajo Folk Art. There are photos of her work in the book.
The sheep are wrapped in white yarn and some of the figures are attached to cardboard "stands".
The tallest figure is the angel at 5.5" and the smallest figure is 3" tall. This is a new... to market set as we have had it in our collection of Native American Nacimientos for many years. Elsie passed some years back so this is a rare set. It is in "as new" condition. Buyer pays shipping. This set must be packed very well.
