Hello ebay members, Hope all are well, Up for auction today is a fine example of a Maria Martinez black on black pottery jar. Piece was purchased here in Tucson Az at an estate sale last year. Jar is 3''1/2'' in height and 5''1/2 at its widest. The pottery is in fine condition for its age, does have very light surface wear from age but nothing to serious please see photos. No chips cracks or hair lines, a nice survivor from the time period 1923-25. From my research I find her Husband J...ulian Painted this piece while Maria made the piece nice combination for sure. Pottery is signed on the bottom ( MARIE ) just beautiful and somewhat rare, don't you think.
