Marie Balian arrived in Palestine in the 1930's. She and her husband, Setrak, established the Armenian Pottery Factory in Jerusalem, Israel. Her ceramic pottery can be seen in many important buildings and residences across Jerusalem and Israel. Today, her ceramic pottery vessels and tiles are highly sought after. Here is for sale a beautiful bowl made in the 1970's at the Armenian Pottery Factory in Jerusalem. It measures 9" in circumference and 2 1/4" deep. It is signed "Jerusalem" an...d the Armenian "B" for Balian. It is ready to be hung or displayed and has no blemishes or chips. The center of the bowl has 3 flowers surrounded by a wreath of evergreens. There are flowers surrounding both the inside and the outside of the bowl.
