VERY FINE HAIDA NATIVE INDIAN DENNY DIXON CARVED ARGILLITE EAGLE FIGURAL BOX Hello, Thank you for having a look at our auctions! This week we are offering three sessions of No Reserve Austions. Up for Auction with NO RESERVE is a VERY FINE HAIDA NATIVE INDIAN DENNY DIXON CARVED ARGILLITE EAGLE FIGURAL BOX The Box is an exquisite little find being fully signed and dated by the Important Native artist Denny Dixon, 1997. Denny is a member of the Eagle clan. He works primarily with argillite, carving poles, platters, boxes, pendants, and pins. As a self-taught artist, Denny was influenced by the late carver, Pat McGuire. His brother is established argillite carver, Pat Dixon. Internationally known, he has worked at the Montreal Museum, and has presented an argillite box to the Empress of Japan.
Condition : the Box is in excellent all original condition with no damage or repairs.
Measurements : cute small size measuring 2-3/8 inches by 2 inches by 2 inches tall.
I found a small tray being retailed for $1100 but this beauty will sell to the highest bidder without reserve !
