Here is a ANTIQUE NAVAJO BLANKET, ACHINLE OR CRSTAL RUG, HAND WOVEN WITH RESERVATIONHAND SPUN, CARDED AND DYED WOOLS. This blanket is hand woven, from hand spun, and hand carded beautiful Navajo Sheep Wools - the shades of grey, brown andwhite, are made from naturally colored Sheep Wools. The red wools are handspun, and hand dyed wools with Aniline Dyes (obtained from the Trading Posts). The wools comprising the pink bands at the ends are hand dyed with anatural vegetal dye. Note the f...ine looking wools which still have luster andsheen - see the close up pics of the wool! This weaving has beautifulvariegation lines (i.e within the reds) resulting from batches of hand spun andhand carded natural wools being hand dyed and used by the weaver. The size of this textileis approximately 60" X 39", with a hand carded wool warp of about 8, and a hand spun Wool Weft of about 24 (durable and well woven weaving). A beautifully designed and well constructed piece in Excellent CONDITION (Please see allpics!): The wools within this rug are in great condition with plenty ofluster and sheen, NO Stains, NO Fading, NO Holes, NO Fraying- NO Problems! TheEnd Selvage Cords are 100 % present, a braid of two fine 2-ply PINK wool yarns.The Side Selvage Cords are intact and100% present with no fraying or loss -a twist of two, 2-ply PINK wool yarns. The cornersare in excellent condition, with very minor wear to selvage at corners, and 4/4corner ties are present (see pics for corners).
