Rare Original Early 1900's TIN LITHOGRAPHED SAMBO CHOCOLATE MALTED MILK SIGN Black Americana
From a Connecticut Estate Auction comes this Rare Early 1900's Black Americana TIN LITHOGRAPHED SIGN Advertising SAMBO CHOCOLATE MALTED MILK. Measuring 13 3/4” x 19 5/8”, this was made by the Carvin Bottle Cap Corporation, Brooklyn NY for SENN PRODUCTS CORPORATION, also of Brooklyn. This shows a uniformed African American Bellhop bringing a bottle of SamBo milk... and a glass to a guest. This antique sign is as original as they come with some scratches through the enamel and a few minor wrinkles in the metal. The last one of these that I saw at auction sold for over $200.
There are no holes or serious defects in this rare piece. Please watch my listings for what I hope is an interesting and eclectic selection of other vintage and antique items. I am always happy to combine items to reduce overall shipping costs.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I send virtually all international packages fully insured and the insured amount has to be the same as the declared value, so please do not ask me to indicate either a lower value or that your item is a gift.

If this is a concern for you, please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. If you pay the invoice you receive from ebay which may not include this form of shipping, I will refund your payment and re-invoice you.
