Hand CarvedEbony Wood Sculpture African Tribal Art Head Statue Bust     Excellent and Unique, EbonyIronwood, hand carved African women’s head/bust. The textures and detail arewonderfully married to the form and vision of the artistic craftsman whocreated this portrait. It Measures approximately 10" tall and 4 1/2"wide.      The work is in excellent condition but please see the photos of theartist’s replaced section of ironwood. The wood used is called ...Ironwood and isone of the hardest and toughest woods on the planet. You can stick yourfingernail in the grain of pine and even birch or redwood. If you try to stickyour fingernail in this iron wood you most certainly will break your nail. Typicalywhen running into a knot or flaw the artist would plug it with the same textureand shape wood. However this does not detract from the very intriguing worksculptured bust.       I have taken two photos so you can be re-assured of theoverall quality of the craftsmanship. This bust would be an excellent additionto any collection or just as an accent piece for display.  Please ask anyquestions you may have and I will get right back to you.
