Helpful hints when buying Arrowheads or Points from Ebay , Shows etc. I am by no means an expert but please Keep these thoughts in mind. So if you are new to collecting arrowheads or points ask yourself this when looking at buying. #1 has this Point been in the ground or creek or wherever for Thousands of years? Yes Thousands! #2 If you don’t know what Hinge fractures are or how they should or shouldn’t look, Google it! , The same goes for Mineral Deposits. #3 Clovis and Cumberland Points are rare, If you think you found this Amazing Cumberland or Clovis Point that Belongs in a museum on Ebay for 500 +- ? Guess again, You just Bought a pretty Rock. #4 Coa’s “Certificate of Authenticity’s” This one Burns me more and More every day. There are actually people who Create or Validate Points with Coa’s that are 100% Fake by the Thousands. Honestly it is very Sad into todays world that you would need to certify if something is real or fake such as an Arrowhead. In my opinion I have a few People that certify points that I trust, Such as- Bennett (he has killed more of my points than certified-not a bad thing in my opinion) Ben Stermer, Jerry Dickey, Ken Partain, Dwain Rogers, Tom Davis. There may be others but Please do your research on the Authenticator before you buy. You may be surprised what you find!
