An early 19th century Turkish Yataghan sword, 21 inch typical, curved, hand forged single-edged blade with silver damascened decoration on both sides, an inscription  reads "MAKER AHMED, OWNER ALI. and, HOLY ALI PROTECT ABDE (This servant)1811/12" metal hilt with traces of original gilding, grip and top of blade with gilded filigree work and set with 7 small bosses. Damage to one ear and 2 bosses are missing No scabbard Overall 26 inches. #9129yooMade towards the en...d of the Russo-Turkish War (1806-1812)
