Offered here is a lot of eleven (11) greyhound racing programs from two locations: Taunton Dog Track in Raynham, MA and Portland Meadows Race Course in Portland, OR.
Also included is a softcover booklet titled "Breedings and Past Performances 1965" printed by the Multnomah Kennel Club of Fairview Park (Portland), OR.
It is subtitled "A complete list of all Greyhounds that have raced or schooled at Portland during 1965."
The booklet measures... 6-3/4" x 10-1/2" and contains 91 inside pages. The title page includes a list of Multnomah Kennel Club Officials and the state Racing Commission. The first page lists winning combinations, the daily double, Winners by Post Position and Multnomah Kennel Club 1965 Purse Standings. The opposite page lists the 1965 Final Kennel Standings.
The remaining pages are an alphabetical listing of the dogs. The book has a corner bend in the lower right corner of the front cover. There is some darkening to the paper on the front and back covers as well. Inside pages are clean and without tears or markings.
Three Multnomah Kennel Club programs are dated October 5, 1956 (40th Racing Day), October 16, 1956 (49th Racing Day) and October 15, 1956 with a greyhound wearing a derby on the cover for the "24th Annual Derby Night." On the first two covers it says "Racing at Portland Meadows Race Course This Year Only."
The October 5 program has a vertical fold down the center and the back cover has some entries in pencil and some erased entries. There is a corner fold in the upper left corner of the back cover. The Derby Night program has pencil markings on the back cover and one page (First Event) with corner folds in the upper and lower right corners and along the right edge.
The Taunton Dog Track programs are from the year 1965. The dates are as follows:
