This estate sale find appears to have been attached to a wall at one time as each of them have two holes drilled in the rim on each side which can be seen in the pictures.
That being said those holes may also have been there for the chin-strap which would have to have been present to wear either of these. They are both still very cool looking and I'm not sure what they're made of but they are quite heavy with the helmet shown on the left in the first picture at 5 pounds 13 oz and t...he one on the right weighs almost exactly 5 pounds.
