The books of theFolio Society need little introduction—classic works published in high qualitybindings and encased in a sturdy slipcase. I am pleased to offer a lovely copy of: “The Golden Fleece, ” byRobert Graves. This edition includes an Introductionby Lawrence Norfolk and was illustrated by Grahame Baker. There is a lovely color frontispiece and 14other color pla...tes by the Artist. Theillustrations also include the maps of the voyages of the Argo at the endpapersand a map of Greece, within the text. Thislarge hard cover book (6 ¼ x 10 inches, 433 pages) was published by the FolioSociety of London, dated 2004, the Second Printing (so stated). The book is bound in a fine sea green clothwith black & gilt decorations on the cover and black & gilt titles onthe spine. The sturdy cardboard slipcaseis of the same color, more or less, perhaps a tad greener. Please see the photo of the Table of Contentsfor your full and further information.Condition: This book is in verygood condition. There has been someminor wear to the slipcase, light scuffing and a bit of bumping to the bottomedge but it is entirely intact and unsplit. The covers are pristine and very attractive and unbumped. There are some tiny specks of soiling on theupper and leading page edges. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and brightthroughout. Both hinges are intact andthe binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.Shipping: This book will be very carefully packed, with bubble wrap and with solidcardboard for their protection and promptly mailed upon payment.
