This auction is fora vintage, original Pfeiffer's Beer Johnny Fifer chalkware advertising statue. Overall the paint onthis statue is some of the finest I have ever encountered – bright and boldwith no fading. The small “chip” on thebackside is paint only, not an actual chip. Even though this isone of the finest examples I have seen, there are two issues. There is a small chip under Johnny’s rightsleeve/cuff – which can only be seen from the backside; and... I believe there isabout an eight-of-an-inch piece of his flute missing on the side nearest his mouth. Not 10-percent sure but I believe so. Both of those items could easily be touchedup. The rest of thestatue really is beautiful with just a few tiny paint chips here and there. His hat is a colonial/dark blue, not black. The statue isapproximately 7 3/8 inches tall and base is 4 inches by 4 inches. This is a nice onecollectors! Thank you. Feel free to askquestions.
