Text reads "The S.S. White Dental Mfg. Co. Salesrooms - Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Chicago, Brooklyn, Atlanta Factories - Philadelphia, Staten Island" Across bottom edge "Pat Sep 5, 1882 Barnes & Abrams Co. Grapeville PA". It has the milk glass appearance on the reverse side. The company logo is pictured.
Dimensions: The 4" x 2.5" rectangle is 3/4" thick. Excellent condition. There is a 1/4" nick on the top surface left with some light surface scratches.
NOTE: S.S.... White Technologies, Inc. began in Philadelphia as a tooth factory founded by Dr. Samuel Stockton White in 1844 with a work force of three. Dr. White was a visionary and a tireless inventor with ten patents to his name. The S.S. White Dental Factory was built in 1881 along the shores of Princes Bay Staten Island.
