This is a full ticket stub to Game 3 of the 1969 World Series played at Shea Stadium on October 14, 1969 in which the New York Mets shut out the Baltimore Orioles by a score of 5 - 0 before cinching the series in 5 games to earn the nickname “Miracle Mets.” A young Mets rookie Gary Gentry pitched the winning outing but historians most remember a young Nolan Ryan saving the game making his only career World Series appearance. The Mets were leading 4-0 with 2 outs in the 7th inning when starting pitcher Gary Gentry loaded the bases with 3 walks. Nolan Ryan came in the game with the tying run at the plate and saved the day. Ryan would pitch the 8th and 9th innings to preserve the Mets win and take a pivotal 2-1 lead in the World Series. Nolan Ryan never pitched in another World Series in his long career but helped the New York Mets win the 1969 World Series 4 games to 1. Good to very good condition as pictured.
