Original Description:
This listing is for a 1968 New York Giants bobbin head, also known as nodders.  He'll display nicely, but unlike the MINT ones, this one has some chips and dings and bumps and bruises. A nice one sells for $150 bucks, so I'll list this guy for $50.00. He is part of the 1968 NFL/AFL Merger series. This is easily confused with the Gold Base 1965 series, but upon further inspection, one can see the difference in several places. First and foremost are the facial expressions. He does n...ot have a box. In a month if he has yet to sell, then I'll open the "Make an Offer" option. I guarantee him to be unrestored, unpainted, unrefurbished and completely 100% completely original. Thank you again for watching and please make the DENVER SUPPLY one of your favorite vendors so you can readily and frequently dsrop by. I try to list several items each and everyday so have a look and if there's something in particular that you're looking for, please ask me. I have thousands of nodders to move in the next few years, I hope I live long enough to do so. God Bless......................Barry
One final thought, I guarantee and promise satisfaction with each and every item that we sell. So if you EVER buy ANYTHING from us, and decide in a day or two that it's not what you wanted, nor what you hoped, nor what you expected it to be, simply return it, in the same condition and in a timely manner, and I will issue a complete 100% refund. I have 14 nodders from when I was a child. Back then they were only a buck or two and my Mother would allow me to pick one out every time we went to the Ephrata Children's Boy Store for school clothing. I took painstaking care of these little guys even then. I even hid this fact from my friends for fear of them making fun of me for playing with dolls. I gently stuffed newspaper in their heads to keep them from breaking. Today, I use Jumbo cotton balls instead of newspaper cause I can afford it now. Lol. So each and everyone of these guys turned out negative on my black light test. Then, I purchased numerous nodders off an auction house, which sometimes identifies when, and if, a piece  they're selling, has been restored. They look beautiful, as advertised, but when subjected to your little black light test, BOOM, there it is. Without the aid of that black light, I couldn't tell which of my Black Faced Phillies had been restored. They are both beautiful, and shiney, and mint, and have vibrant colors. But when the black light hits it, there are your spots of color that someone painted on. And you know what? That's fine, they belong to you. You may certainly fix them up, paint them up, cover up a nick, scratch, pin hole, whatever, to your own choosing and preference. Feel free to do whatever you like. But the problem now lies, if and when you should decide to sell them. Because now you have an obligation to at least share this. Now they've been restored and this is going to help sell it for some people, and discourage other people from buying it. It works both ways. I don't mind owning and displaying mint nodders in my personal collection that have been professionally restored, don't mind it one little bit. But there's a huge difference in the price. Yes the true MINT ones that have never been restored are very expensive, I don't deny that. I spend a ton of money on the GEM MINT ones, therefor I have to ask for a ton of money when pricing them. Some people don't understand this and give me a good bit of grief about those prices. Whatever? They can easily bring double or triple book prices. Keep in mind please that all price guides are nearly 20 years old also. Most of the dealers aren't willing to pay as much as I do for the mint, unrefurbished old nodders, but I also have a huge selection of non mint ones and I'm working diligently to get them all listed, but it will take me years. Regardless, get yourself a black light please, you'll be an expert in no time and you'll be glad that you did. A 30 Watt Black Light can be purchased on Amazon for $30.00 and it's more then big enough. I would never ever be without mine again. They even sell blacklight flashlights. They're not big enough for at home but it you're going to a card show and thinking about buying a bobbin head or two, stick it in your pocket and sneak a quick look before paying for a nodder from a man you'll never see again. If you're a nodder collector, this is an absolute must for your own satisfaction as well as protection. It's simply too easy. Thanks again and keep in touch...……………..Barry
